|Our Basses that Care philanthropic project recently dropped off tons of supplies to our friends at the Coal Pit Learning Center, which serves low-income children and families! The supplies were donated by members of the entire chorus months ago (pre-COVID) and we're just now able to deliver them to the center. The goodies included non-perishable snacks, school supplies, paper products, and toys and games. Representatives from our Bass section (Susan Hannan, Jan Owen, Cheryl Cross, and Mary Ann Wilson) are pictured here, all masked up and ready to put smiles on the faces of all the kids served at Coal Pit!
This is just one of the year-round projects that are sponsored by our Bass section. In the past year, they have organized canned food drives, scarf and mitten drives, school supply drives, and a host of other events. We love that we're able to connect our chorus to our larger community and help those who need a bit of extra support!
