A: The church is located Southside at 4401 Forest Hill Avenue, 23235. It's two blocks away from Forest Hill Park, and just one block away from 43rd Street Pottery Studio.

Q: Do I need to register for all the dates?
A: No. Select the first Holiday Hullabaloo date you plan to attend and proceed from there. We'll handle the rest.

Q: What are we going to sing?
A: We'll be working on four-part arrangements of three holiday classics for the Holiday Hullabaloo friends-and-family performance, in addition to a variety of music from GRC's active repertoire.

Q: What will happen when I show up? Do I have to audition?
A: No auditions required for the Holiday Hullabaloo! When you arrive, one of our coaches will help you determine the part that best fits your vocal range (you'll sing a short song like "Happy Birthday" and do a few vocal exercises in a private room), and you'll be introduced to a coach from that section.

Q: I'm trans/non-binary/gender fluid. Am I welcome at GRC?
A: Yes. Sweet Adelines choruses open to women, including trans women, and non-binary treble singers. Read more about GRC's core values and our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Q: What if I haven't really sung since high school/college/my church choir?
A: No sweat! As you talk with our members, you'll find that many of us come from a similar background.

Q: Do I have to be able to read music?
A: Some experience reading music is helpful, but it's not required. We provide sheet music and audio learning tracks for all of the songs in our repertoire in order to make them adaptable and acccesible for all members and learning styles. Vocal instruction is a regular part of our rehearsals.

Q: Do I have to join the chorus to participate?
A: Nope! You're welcome at Holiday Hullabaloo whether you just want to hang out for a few weeks and enjoy the vibe or you think you might be interested in joining. If you have a great time and want to make it permanent, we'll be delighted to transition you into the audition process.

Q: Is GRC affiliated with the church?
A: No. It's hard to find locations that have enough room for our risers and regular availability for our weekly rehearsals, and Forest Hill Presbyterian rents us their space.

Q: What's the parking situation?
A: Forest Hill Presbyterian Church has two large parking lots with plenty of space. In the unlikely event the lot is full, there's plenty of street parking in the surrounding neighborhood. For cyclists, bring your bike inside with you - no need to lock it up outdoors. The 2A bus (Forest Hill / North Ave) stops directly in front of the church on Forest Hill Ave.
