What is Barbershop?

21 links to display
Barbershop harmony is a style of a cappella singing performed in four-part harmony: tenor, lead, baritone, and bass. Each voice has a distinct role, blending together to create rich chords that often produce a ringing overtone—a resonant sound created when the voices are perfectly tuned. The style is known for harmonizing nearly every melody note, expressive storytelling, and the thrill singers feel when a chord “locks” and resonates.
